The gown is an exact copy of a ball gown and court dress worn during the time of Czar Nicholas II in the imperial court of St. Petersburg. It is of white satin embroidered in heavy gold and silken threads enriched with beads by Karinska, Paris. The tiara, which Miss Bergman wears as the Princess Anastasia in the film, is an exact copy of one worn by the real princess of the Romanov House. It is made entirely of real pearls.
