People are celebrating the result of the vote outside the Chancellery near the Bundestag. The lawmakers of the Bundestag (German Parliament) have voted in favor of legalizing same-sex marriage, in a snap voting procedure on Friday June 30, 2017 in Berlin. German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced that she will support a "vote of conscience" on the Marriage to All (Ehe fr alle) law which will allow the MPs to vote freely regardless of political or party affiliation.
