Baghdad, IRAQ: A picture released by US Army 20 June 2006 shows an image taken from a video footage showing slain al-Qaeda leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi (R) meeting with a hooded militants. The US Army said the hooded man is senior al-Qaeda leader Mansur Sulayman Mansur Khlaif (al-Mahsadani). A.K.A Sheikh Mansur, who was killed by US forces 16 June 2006. The US military said today that it killed the alleged right-hand man of slain Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musab al-Zarqawi describing him as someone who could have succeeded the Jordanian-born militant. 'We do know that Sheikh Mansur was a key leader in Al-Qaeda in Iraq with excellent religious, military and leadership credentials within that organization,' Major General William Caldwell, spokesman of US-led coalition forces, told reporters. He said Sheikh Mansur, an Iraqi named Mansur Suleiman al-Mashhadani, was killed by US forces in Yusifiyah, south of Baghdad, not far from where two US soldiers were abducted and later found dead.
