Indonesian health authorities confirmed on May 6 that at least four cases of polio with some 15 cases of acute flaccid paralysis have been diagnosed in the West Java province. All cases were found in villages of the Sukabumi district, about 100 kilometres (62 miles) south of Jakarta. An epidemic of polio in Indonesia has broken out after ten years of being free of the disease. Indonesia is the 16th previously polio-free country to be reinfected in the past two years, including 13 in Africa, according to the United Nations health agency. (Photo by Dimas Ardian/Getty Images)
