Hard hit by spread of the Ebola virus the capacity of the small hospital in Kailahun has been stretched over the course of the epidemic. In the wake of the Ebola epidemic, and recovering from a long civil war, Sierra Leone is now confronted with the highest maternal mortality rate in the world with a staggering 3100 maternal deaths per year.
