PALMYRA, SYRIA. MARCH 27, 2016. Ruins of the Monumental Arch destroyed by ISIS militants in Palmyra, a UNESCO world heritage site. A substantial number of statues, temples and other structures were destroyed by militants of the so called Islamic State (ISIS) after they took Palmyra under control in 2015.
