(Original Caption) Producer Cecil B. De Mille (L) accepts both an "Oscar" and the Irving Thalberg Award at the 25th Annual Academy Awards presentation ceremonies at the Pantages Theater in Hollywood. Mary Pickford presented De Mille with his "Oscar" for "The Greatest Show on Earth" which was selected as "Best Picture of the Year." Producer Darryl Zanuck gave the coveted Thalberg Award.
