BAGHDAD, IRAQ - JUNE 29 : Sheik Raid Al-Khadhmi, 43, washes before prayer at his office in the Al-Khadhmiya district June 29, 2004 in Baghdad, Iraq. The Sheik is the Friday prayer leader at the Al-Khadhmiya holy shrine in Baghdad. Al-Khadhmi is also the spokesman for radical cleric Moqtada Al-Sadr in Baghdad and as such is close to the Shiite power base in Iraq. The Sheik has been working as a cleric since 1991, first working for the late Ayatollah Muhammad Al-Sadr and now for his son, Moqtada. The Sheik's time is spent counseling the many people who come to him for dispute resolution and advice and on the Friday prayer message, the most important day in the Muslim week.
