6th August 1948:  Dutch athlete Fanny Blankers-Koen leaving the track at Wembley Stadium after winning the gold medal in the 200 metres event at the Olympic Games in London. This was her third Olympic title in the London games, having previously won the 100 metres and the 80 metres hurdles. She later won a fourth gold in the 4 X 100 metre relay.
