NEW YORK, UNITED STATES:  Freddy Adu (R), a 14-year-old soccer prodigy from Ghana, and now a Maryland resident, holds a jersey presented to him by Don Garber (L), commissioner of Major League Soccer (MLS), at a press conference, 19 November, 2003, at Madison Square Garden in New York.  It was announced that Adu is eligible for the MLS 2004 SuperDraft and is expected to play for DC United in Washington, DC. Adu reportedly will become the youngest athlete to play professional sports in the United States in more than a century.
