The Prince's Regeneration Trust have begun work on the regeneration of this historic industrial site to include a cafe, gallery and heritage visitor centre. Over 19,000 pottery moulds are being removed for safe keeping to the old Spode pottery site in Stoke town centre. The dust covered moulds by pottery firm Burgess, Dorling and Leigh, date from 1888 and removal is expected to take up to 12 weeks. The factory was in danger of closure until June last year when it secured 7.5 million GDP of funding from the Prince of Wales's Regeneration Trust creating over 50 jobs for the area.
