Clashes between demonstrators and police broke out at the end of the demonstration on Saturday 13 June 2020, as police used tear gas to disperse the rioters. Several thousand people gathered on the Place de la République in Paris at the call of the committee "Truth for Adama" and Adama Traoré's sister, Assa Traoré, to participate in a demonstration against police violence.
