REYKJAVIK, ICELAND - OCTOBER 4: Protesters demonstrate in front of the Icelandic Parliament house as thousands of people are protesting the governments inability to handle the country's ongoing financial crisis on October 4, 2010 in Reykjavik, Iceland. 6000-7500 people demonstrated during Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir's first speech of the start of the parliament making it one of Iceland's largest protest in history and following another large protest just 3 days prior. In 2009 after a series of demonstration the majority of parliament had to step down with call for new elections. People want the government to come up with solutions to housing loans that have increased by 30-100% after the financial crash, in addition to taxes being raised, salaries decreasing and growing unemployment. Many families face losing their homes in the coming weeks as the IMF has demanded that the government do not postpone foreclosures any further. (Photo by Haraldur Jonasson/Nordicphotos/Getty Images)
