TORONTO, ON- APRIL 3 - North York resident Bob Chisholm is an experienced genealogy researcher, he put those skills to the test when he stumbled upon a pair of letters to his mother-in-law by one of her pen pals from the front just before and during the Vimy push. North York resident Bob Chisholm has has letters written to his mother-in-law from a friend (Harry A. Chalmers) who fought at Vimy Ridge. A couple of them were written during the battle and include accounts of what Chalmers saw. Chalmers ended up dying in the war and Chisholm's mother-in-law died back in 2008. For a story leading up to Vimy's centennial April 9; would be great to get photos of letters on their own and also pics of Chisholm with them. (Steve Russell/Toronto Star via Getty Images)
