SRINAGAR, KASHMIR, INDIA - MARCH 31: Kashmiri Muslim protesters throw stones at Indian government forces during an anti India protest against the recent civilian killings by Indian government , on March 31, 2017 in Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian administered Kashmir, India. Clashes erupted in many parts of the Kashmir Valley after Friday prayers as Kashmiri Muslims assembled outside mosques chanting for pro Kashmir freedom and anti-Indian slogans. Indian forces used teargas shells, pellets and rubber bullets to disperse the Kashmir Muslim protesters. Dozens of protesting youths and a forces personnel were injured, but police said no serious injury to anyone has been reported from anywhere in the Valley. Dissenting leaders called for protests after Friday prayers against the killing of three Kashmiri civilians in clashes with the Indian government forces in Budgam district on Tuesday. A large number of Indian forces were deployed in the Valley to thwart anti Indian protest. Senior Kashmir resistance leaders including Syed Ali Geelani and Mirwaiz Umer Farooq were placed under house arrest here while Muhammad Yasin Malik has been lodged in Srinagar central jail.
