CHARLOTTE, NC - MAY 22, 1966: Marvin Panch was sitting out the World 600 at Charlotte in 1966, as Ford Motor Co. boycotted NASCAR that season due to a rules dispute. Panch got an offer from the Petty organization to drive Richard's year-old dirt machine, which sported stiff suspension handling. Panch made the most of it, coming home the victor with a little relief help from Richard. (Photo by ISC Archives/CQ-Roll Call Group via Getty Images)
