The house, which includes a movie theatre, a ballroom with windows that can disappear mechanically into the ground, and a nearby bunker, was built for Goebbels in 1939. Goebbels used the house frequently to entertain guests, including the Czech actress Lida Baarova, with whom he a had a passionate affair until Hitler had her expelled.
