A remotely operated underwater vehicle (ROV), developed by Japan's Toshiba and the International Research Institute for Nuclear Decommissioning (IRID), navigates through a pool during a press preview at the IRID facilities in Yokosuka, a suburb of Tokyo, on June 15, 2017. The ROV was developed to inspect the interior of the Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Plant Unit 3, which was destroyed by a tsunami after a massive earthquake on March 11, 2011. Operators practiced navigating with the robot in the pool, which was meant to simulate the interior of Unit 3. The robot, 30cm in length and 13cm in diameter, is equipped with front and rear facing cameras, a 60m cable and is propelled by thrusters. / AFP PHOTO / Toru YAMANAKA (Photo credit should read TORU YAMANAKA/AFP/Getty Images)
