Ribbonfish are being dried under the sun at dry fish yard at Nazirartek in Coxs Bazar, Chittagong on January 7, 2017. Naziratek on the beach at the confluence of the Bay of Bengal in Cox's Bazar has become the biggest Dried Fish Yard of Bangladesh in last one decade. About 30,000 labours work at the yard during the production season. They produce around 60,00000 tonnes of dried fish worth crores every season. Different species of fish are being processed in the Yard. Chhuri, Laitta, Faisshya, Rupchanda, Matia, Poa, Chingri, Lakkhya, Kamila, Korati, Rupsha and Surma are the most common dried fish.
