Indian demonstrators protest the killing of a leading Indian anti-superstition activist in Mumbai on August 21, 2013. Narendra Dabholkar, who campaigned for a law to eradicate superstition in a country known for its mystics and gurus, was shot August 20 by two gunmen on motorbikes as he was taking his morning walk in the western Indian city of Pune in Maharashtra state. Dabholkar had for several years been lobbying for Maharashtra state's assembly to pass legislation banning superstition and black magic.
