TAUNTON, ENGLAND - FEBRUARY 04: Staff at the RSPCA West Hatch Wildlife Centre rub margarine into the feathers to help clean a stricken guillemot bird that has been covered in a unknown pollutant on February 4, 2013 near Taunton, England. The centre in Somerset is currently dealing with over 300 birds, mostly guillemots and some razorbills, that have been washed up all along the south coast of England covered in a yet-to-be indentified oil substance. Conservationists are warning it could be days before the true scale of the pollution spill affecting the sea birds is known as many more birds covered in the mystery sticky substance could have been blown out to sea by prevailing winds, leading to many more fatalities as they are unable to feed and become cold and exhausted.
