CHARLOTTE, NC — May 22, 1966: The last NASCAR Cup win for Marvin Panch came in the World 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway behind the wheel of this Petty Enterprises 1965 Plymouth. However, Panch was not driving the car when the checkered flag flew. After his own car fell out on lap 236 with a blown engine, Richard Petty took over the team machine and drove the final 42 laps. Panch retired at the end of the 1966 season with a total of 17 Cup wins to his credit. (Photo by ISC Images & Archives via Getty Images)
