Fireworks burst over Buckingham Palace in London Monday 03 June 2002, after Britain's Queen Elizabeth II lit a beacon to commemorate her Golden Jubilee. Earlier, some 12 000 people had watched the Party in the Palace - the second concert to be held in the grounds in three days - a crowd estimated at one million gathered outside to enjoy the music.
